16-MONTH BS NURSING STUDENTS ONLY. This course provides students with opportunities to gain knowledge and skills necessary to transition from student nurse to registered nurse. Students will synthesize theory and nursing knowledge from previous courses in care of individuals, families, and communities. Content includes current issues in health care, nursing leadership and management, professional practice issues for registered nurses, transition into the workplace, and NCLEX preparation. NCLEX preparation is structured around the NCLEX-RN blueprint. The course follows each subject area with a comprehensive assessment to ensure student preparation for success in taking the NCLEX examination. This course will help prepare students for the ATI comprehensive predictor exam and NCLEX. This course incorporates the senior preceptorship and ATI capstone.
