The course offers an examination of childhood psychological disorders from biopsychosocial, cultural, and developmental psychopathology perspectives. The course covers theory, research, and controversies related to the nature, etiology, and treatment of disorders that begin in childhood or adolescence. The impact of these disorders on the child's development and family functioning is considered.
