Course Description

This seminar-formatted course is the third of a four-course series designed to assist students in implementing an evidence-based practice (EBP) project. The focus of this course is on the implementation of the evidence-based practice project completed in NU 741 Scholarly DNP Project II and subsequent collection of data for evaluation of the project. Students are required to complete a certain number of hours of the mentored experience from the inception of the EBP project to dissemination of the findings.Please refer to the Graduate Nursing Manual for details of required hours.


This the NEW proposed Course Description:

This seminar course is the fifth in a six-course series supporting the implementation of an evidence-based scholarly project. Students focus on project implementation, data collection, and analysis within healthcare delivery systems while continuing to document required DNP project hours toward the graduate hour program requirement. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based strategies, project management, and dissemination planning. Successful completion of NU-742 requires submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval documentation from Regis College and the implementation site. Students will not pass the course without securing IRB approval, as it is essential for project implementation. Pre-requisite: NU 741
