Anatomy & Physiology I/Lab

STEMUndergraduate

The student will be able to recognize and identify the names and locations of specified cell/tissue types and organs in the A&P I systems of Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous and Special Senses

The student will be able to explain the processes of normal physiology associated with the above mentioned systems as well as Special Senses

The student will be able to describe anatomical position, directional terminology, body planes, sections and cavities

The student will be able to describe the basic chemistry and biochemistry of organic molecules and inorganic ions as pertains to normal physiology

The student will be able to classify the types of cells and tissues in the human body and explain how the cell/tissue type allows for normal physiologic processes

The student will be able to articulate the types and benefits of homeostasis in human systems and processes

The student will engage in self-motivated study, team work and problem solving in the laboratory setting

Students will apply the scientific method, develop quantitative problem solving skills and use logical reasoning and scientific tools of inquiry in the conduct of laboratory experiments
