This course is designed to develop understanding of literacy teaching and learning for students in middle and secondary school programs. The course will focus on increasing student performance in content areas by understanding and utilizing successful research-based teaching strategies and focusing on current methods, theories, materials, and assessments used in content literacy instruction. Prerequisites: EN 105 and EN 106
